Fannish Dare!
It's time for another round truth or dare! Last time it was general, this time I'm going to limit it to fandom related dares.
We got fifteen CRAZY stories last time, and I think fun was had by all. (Actually, it's probably more than 15 - I think I missed a few that were posted at the end.)
General Rules:
- Anyone can participate! Any fandom, any pairing, any rating! Any medium of fannish works!
- Be nice. No fandom, pairing, character, or people bashing.
How to Play
- If you want people to participate leave a comment to this post! (if you want to include your fandoms in the comment, go for it, but you are under no obligation)
- Anyone can respond to your comment with a dare.
- You are under no obligation to complete any dare. However, the whole point of the game is to write crazy things and try and get other people to write them for you.
- You do not have to offer yourself up to be dared to dare others.
Responding
- Please respond directly to the dare comment. Label the comment subject line with fandom, pairing (or character), and rating for ease of reading.
Example:
Last time I dared
wojelah to write Ten/Sheppard (DW/SGA) and she did!
Invite your friends - the more the merrier! There is no time limit on this, it will go on as long as people are still playing.

...I'd say "dare" except that I don't have the time to write what people are going to ask me to write!
So, "truth" it is.
I'm a dingbat and didn't read the rules. *shamefaced*
...all right. I'm going to regret this. Dare me.

Teyla meets Jonas. :-)
Teyla&Jonas - first meeting
One of those secrets walked the concrete corridors beside Elizabeth Weir, wondering a little at the secrecy practised by her allies. Knowing was not the same as experiencing, and this was an experience indeed.
"There's usually at least seventy to eighty people in the base at any given time," Elizabeth was explaining as they stepped into the elevator to make their way to the commissary. "Mostly military - Air Force, although there are several Marine contingents - and scientific. A couple of diplomats--"
"Like yourself."
"--like me, to do the negotiating, and one or two resident aliens such as Teal'c and Vala Mal Doran. You've met Vala when she came to Atlantis." Elizabeth didn't wince, but she did leave a tactful pause. The initial encounter between Teyla and Vala had not been propituous, and things went downhill thereafter. "Have you met Teal'c yet?"
"Not yet."
"Well, you will," Elizabeth said as they came out of the elevator and entered the commissary. "And sooner than I thought," she added as she glanced around the room. "Do you want to meet them now?"
"If it would not be rude to interrupt him, then yes," Teyla said, noting that the dark-skinned man was seated with another man whose clothing suggested he was not commonly found in the SGC.
Elizabeth grinned. "Actually, I don't think he'll mind so much. And you can meet Jonas while you're at it."
Teal'c stood as they approached, and his companion did likewise. "Dr. Weir."
"Teal'c." Elizabeth's smile was easy. "This is Teyla Emmagen of Athos - our first ally in the Pegasus galaxy. Teyla, Teal'c of the Jaffa Nation."
Teal'c inclined his head to a nod as regal as any dignitary Teyla had met. "Teyla Emmagen." His faint smile deepened as she tendered him the Jaffa salute of respect - fist over heart - and returned the gesture. "Be welcome."
"It is a pleasure to meet you," she said and meant it. Teyla's curiosity was great about Teal'c of the Jaffa, in whose fight for freedom against the Goa'uld she had found some parallels with her own people's struggle against the Wraith.
He had succeeded, in alliance with Earth. Teyla hoped that her own people's story would be similarly successful.
"And this is Jonas Quinn of Kelowna," Elizabeth said with a quick smile for Teal'c's companion. "Jonas was on SG-1 for a while
"A very little while," Jonas said as he held out his hand for Teyla to shake. "And that was five years ago."
Teyla took the proffered hand, well-familiar with this gesture by now. His grip was easy and firm although he was a slender man, tending almost to boyish in the cut of his hair and the set of his limbs. "You are an ambassador to Earth, now?"
"I come back every now and then," Jonas said. "Mostly to exchange scientific knowledge and to catch up with old friends. Usually in the commissary."
"Jonas has a passion for the food of Earth," Teal'c said in solemn accents that did nothing to disguise his affection for his friend. "Perhaps you will join us?"
Teyla glanced at Elizabeth who shrugged, smiling. "If we are not interrupting you."
"Oh, you're not," Jonas assured her with an easy smile.
"You would be most welcome at our table."
Teyla smiled at both men - the tall and dark and the slim and pale. A contrast in appearance, although in an accord of personality. Earth, it seemed, had a habit of breeding such alliances of mind. "Then we will be glad to accept."

Elizabeth/Ronon; Elizabeth pushes Ronon way out of his comfort zone.

This is gonna sit on the backburner for a while. I'm really not in a mood to write Elizabeth/Ronon right now.

Teyla acknowledged a graceful woman in sleek cream silk and was glad she had encouraged the Lantean women to 'dress up' for this convocation. "I have been here several times."
The Edanirans were an ancient culture that had changed little in the many generations since they had located to this planet, far-flung from the main corridors of Wraith traffic.
"With your people?"
"It was long ago, and I was very young when Charin first brought me here. And I felt as you do now - as though they were watching me." And they were watching the Lanteans. It was the way of the Edanirans to treat with a culture only after ascertaining the individuals of that culture and their personal behaviours.
Teyla saw nothing wrong with this. A true trade - of thoughts and not merely of things - was only accomplished through immersion in one culture or another. And while the Lantean party would only be present on this planet for two days, the Edanirans would take full opportunity to observe their guests.
Laura brushed a wisp of blonde hair from her eyes. "Well, they're definitely watching us. And not surreptitiously either." She scowled. "I hate girl politics. I mean, it's all very well for you and Dr. Weir, but I went into the military for a reason - point, shoot, kick ass, blow things up, go home and hopefully get a commendation."
"Then you must consider this an expansion of your experiences," Teyla said, gently guiding Laura towards a small knot of women. "Or die in the attempt," she said with wry humour.
"God, Teyla. Do you have to be so cheerful?"

Risks, Teyla/Lorne
But in life, sometimes you have to take risks.
Besides, she's not about to let him go. One hand is clamped on the back of his neck and the other is sliding over his shoulder as Evan slides one hand around a warm, bare waist and thanks all the deities in the universe for midriff tops and hipster fatigue trousers.
Some risks are definitely worth it.
