Today Sam turned 1! We threw here a mini birthday party this evening. I cannot believe we have had her for 10 months - it's FLOWN by. I cannot imagine life without her - she's so sweet and amazing. (except when she's not. :-))
We had a wonderful day - ran a ton of errands, worked on the yard, cleaned the house, went for a long walk, to the book store, and then the dog park.
This is Sam the first day we brought her home. She was so TINY.

We made her wear a birthday hat! She's a adorable.

(we were plying her with treats to get her to stay still.)

Opening her present. She was so cute, she just sat down with it and started ripping. (I used Christmas paper because this stuff was cheap and crappy.)

She was having a few issues, so we ripped another hole for her - she moved right up to tear it off.

She's such a smart puppy! She put her paw on the present to hold it while she ripped.

Yup! We got her a kiddie pool! I cannot wait to try it out when it gets warmer. It's going to be great for bathing her outside.

Her birthday platter. The back left treat is a sweet potato liverwurst brownie, front left is a nut bar, and back right is a peanut butter dipped cookie on a liver stick. Total cost: $3.

We were trying to use treats to get her to look at the candle. It didn't' go well. :-)

She ate her brownie in TWO bites. She loved it. (she didn't care for the nut bar)

The peanut butter cookie took a big longer, but she really loved it.

Note: This is my 1000th post! How neat is that? :-)
In other news: We finished our front yard today (put in two Lord Robert Rhododendrons), and I made the most fantastic dinner (Pork Chops ala Pizziaola and a lemon butter pasta) there will be pictures and posts on that tomorrow.
In TV land: We watched ER, Num3brs, and Scrubs. Scrubs was the only one that didn't make me go "whhha?" There will be a spoilery post later.
