Five Questions
Five Questions from
aurora_84.
The Questions
1. How do you look back on your high school/college years?
2. What is/was your favorite fairy tale?
3. Which story that you've written do you love the most?
4. What do you think is the best and worst thing about fandom?
5. Nine or Ten? :D
1. I enjoyed high school. I have a lot of really good memories, and a few really bad ones, but for the most part high school was a good experience.
College was, well, interesting. I had a very love/hate relationship with it. I picked wrong with schools and ended up very uncomfortable at such a huge school (Michigan State). I found some great friends, none of whom I stay in touch with anymore, but it was nice at the time.
I count my junior year as one of the best in my life. I studied abroad to Hong Kong for 5 months, then Rome for 5 months and I had a FANTASTIC time.
I also loved my summers - working at summer camp and a computer software company. I made a ton of friends, most I still am in touch with.
2. Rapunzel or Sleeping Beauty! I love them both so very very much.
3. Love the most - I'm going for a tie. Red Light on a Wedding Night because I had so much fun writing it. And A Little Crazy because it's the story I always wanted to write, but never thought I actually could.
4. Best thing - the people. I have made so many amazing friends in fandom. All of my current "best" friends I met through fandom.
Worst thing - the crazy sense of entitlement regarding shows and characters.
5. Ten. Hands down.
If anyone wants questions from me, let me know. :-)

2. Being able to help people. Dorky but true. Having the knowledge to help people in a way no one else can (even just basic help) makes me feel really good, like my education actually meant something and is really helping make the world better.
3. Ooooh, good one. Hrmmmmm. Probably our first wedding anniversary - we got a fancy schmancy hotel room and champagne and everything, and ate our pieces of frozen leftover wedding cake, and it was really special.
4. I wish I were good enough to write in the Sorkin fandoms - specifically West Wing and Sports Night. I am desperately in love with them as shows, and they were totally my gateway drug into fandom, but the dialogue has to be perfect, or it's just all totally wrong, and I don't trust myself that much yet. Hell, at this point, I barely trust myself to write in SGA. Maybe someday. ;-)
5. I would force Aaron Sorkin to write an episode of Stargate Atlantis - with the Season 2 cast - because that would just be stone cold AWESOME. My two favorite TV things in one place. *sigh*
