Before I try and find things myself and inevitably get scarred for life, does anyone know where to find decent ER fic?

I'm looking specifically for Abby/Moretti. (It's weird, I know, but I just . . . it's like the Gwen/Owen thing. I can't help it.)

Can anyone do me a favor and do a quick beta on a Jack/Martha piece? It's about 800 words, spoilers through Last of the Time Lords, and has to be posted on the 10th for choc_fic. I'm going to have spotty internet tomorrow, so I was just going to post it before I went to bed tonight, around 12:30am EST.

I am getting very frustrated with my very limited CSS and Html knowledge.

I want to tweak smooth sailing (it's my favorite layout) and I keep hitting dead ends. I'm making the banners for the rotating header, but I want to tweak the layout before I put that in.

I've been trying very hard to figure it all out on my own, but it's just not working. I'm going to list what I want to do, and if anyone can point me in the right direction and what to put in the code override section, I would be very grateful.

(1) I would like to get rid of the first header bar that says the LJ name and subtitle. I want the first thing under the banner to be the navigation bar, and I want that text centered. Same goes for the bar beneath it. I would really just like the banner with the navigation bar under it.

(2) I want to add a border around my entry boxes. That way I can have the same/similar color background and entry/profile box color but they are still defined.

(3) I would love to put my banner in a box. With like a 10px margin on all sides.

(4) How about a separate border around the entry and profile box headers?

I know it's a lot of stuff - and I'm pretty good at figuring things out myself, I just need a place to start, and that's where I'm lost.

technosage and medie both have this neat code, where a different picture appears at the top of their LJ depending on the entry and stuff. I want that! Does anyone know where I can find the code?

(yeah, I know I just changed my layout, and I love the banner, but the pink isn't doing much for me. I need to change my LJ, I just haven't had the time. BUT I would totally love to have rotating banners. That would be so cool.)

I'm thinking of going back to a black, white, and grey layout. I really do like having the white text boxes with the black text.

Here is the question: Should I get a myspace page?

A bunch of my high school and college friends have them, and one was trying to talk me into getting one the other night.

I generally associate Myspace with my coworkers 15 year old daughter and To Catch a Predator. Right or wrong, that's how I see it and I'm having trouble getting past that.

I can't decide if I want to actually break down and get one - so flist help! Do you have one? If yes, what do you use it for? Anything I should know in making this decision?

Really anything about it at all would be useful. :-)

Tomorrow morning I am meeting thekatebeyond in DC. I'm picking her up at National, and then we are going sightseeing.

I *hate* driving in cities. The plan right now is to park the car in one place in the morning, and then not touch it until that evening.

Here's the help I need - where can I park my car? I don't want to drive around looking for a spot, and I know spots in town are very limited.

We're totally good with taking the metro, and plan on spending most of the day on the Mall and in the Air and Space Museum.

So any suggestions for lots in those areas? Or lots near a metro that won't be full by mid-morning on a weekday?
