Of the same kinds, class, or nature

Met up with friends at Shore-Leave. It was FUN. I got to haz an omglawdork, smittywing, and wojelah AND Andy came along too! And I got to see triciabyrne1978 which was just a total bonus!

Favorite quote of the weekend (from a woman dressed in a neat old school Romulan costume talking about the masquerade contest) "I'm tired of cry-baby storm troopers." :-)

Saw David Hewlett, Jewel Straite (who is OMG adorable), Kate Hewlett, Malcolm McDowell, George Takei (who is also OMG adorable), W. Morgan Shepard, and Mark Shepard.

All in all? It was a really great time. I will probably not make conventions a regular part of my repertoire, but this one was a lot of fun. I took some pictures at the talks, but none came out that great.

I really enjoyed all of the talks, but George Takei talking about wedding planning and his honeymoon was just pretty much made of win. He was SO exited! And Brad was there and came out onto stage and it was just really great.

AND? There were only a few questions that made me cringe! I was pleasantly surprised. :-)

OH OH OH! Other adorable thing - Morgan Sheppard said his agent send him "a piece of the internet" and it was SO CUTE. (also, this morning, both Mark Sheppard and Malcolm McDowell were in sweat pants and that was also adorable).

But the best part of the weekend was spending time with omglawdork, wojelah, and smittywing (and having omg and woj finally meet Andy) and just having fun with my friends! It was great to have a girls (+ Andy) weekend! :-)

My new Teddybear! (and while I'm not an autograph collector AT ALL, DH's was free, so I got my DVD signed.)

I finally got around to installing my rotating banners today! (medie sent me the php file and explained how to put it in. Thanks!)

We won't talk about how LONG it took to get that box around my header. Seriously. But it's done! Yay!

There are 23 different banners from 11 fandoms - SGA, SG-1, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Meadowlands, Army Wives, West Wing, The 4400, Lost, Heroes, and Weeds.

Opinions?

ETA: jennukes just pointed out that while the banner is centered, the rest of the page is left justified. On my computer, it's all centered. So! If anyone else has it to the left, would you please let me know?

ETA2: It appears to be messed up on everyone's computers except for mine. SO can anyone tell me what's wrong with the code?
