On the show the girls parents usually get some low level rapper to preform, most of them I've never heard of - or they have one popular song. A few of the girls have gotten bigger stars, but for most part it's people with one hit, just breaking in.
I know a lot of you on my flist are in their 20's and 30's - so my question is - if this show was on when you turned 16 who would have been the performers?
It could be groups that were just starting then but are big now, or groups that have never been heard from again.
I turned 16 in 1996 - the year of the Macarena. I bet they would have been featured on at least one episode.
