We decided to take a whirl-wind trip to Ohio for the holiday weekend to visit my in-laws. It rained on Friday, creating a BIG mud puddle in the back yard. You know what happens when a Golden Retriever meets a mud puddle?

THIS:

She had an AMAZING time. She ran around the house before we could catch her and by the time we got to her the damage was done. So for the next 30 minutes Sam was rolling and running and dipping and diving and it was FANTASTIC. She was the happiest I have ever seen her. (I would note that she was not so happy with the subsequent 30 minute hosing/bath it took to get the mud out of her fur :-))

We had a great trip - Sam was an ANGEL in the car both ways, we didn't get a flat tire, and I didn't get food poisoning and end up in the ER, so that makes it better than last year. :-)

I am AWESOME.

Even muddy I am regal!

::slips::

Mom! Dad! Look! I'm rubbing it all DEEP into my fur! Just for kicks.

Happy dog! :-)

This is Sneakers. Sam desperately wanted to play with Sneakers. Sneakers? Not so much.

What now MOM? I was napping!

Happy pup!

SLEEPY Pup!

Enjoying the new sod (pictures of re landscaped yard to follow as soon as the last bush is in )

IT WAS. I think she LOVED it.

She's so emo and sad now because she had a huge allergy break out and is on massive amounts of drugs, but she's doing much better.

It was SO funny when we came around the house! There is video, but it has commentary and is not for LJ posting. BUT it will make it into emails. :-)

Sam would be Wet and Filthy 24/7 if we let her.

She would also roll in every dead thing she could if we would let her.

Thank you!

Ah, but it was worth it. :)

Wow... that is fantastic. She looks like she was very happy and having fun. I'm sure the hosing off was awful, but the play time had to be worth it. Great that you got pictures.

The cake looks yummy. I'm glad you had a good time with no sickness. ;)

As soon as I came around the house and saw the mud I ran for the camera. :-)

It was yummy!

Such a pretty girl! I agree with [livejournal.com profile] meyerlemon that Wet and Filthy is the default setting for - well, most dogs, actually.

Sneakers looks like my cat when [livejournal.com profile] wojelah's Miss Molly came to visit one time. Except my cat hasn't figured out how to get on top of the cabinets, so she just went under the bed. :-P

I'm glad y'all had fun - especially Samela!
